The Water's Dead - Catherine Lea

I have read and THOROUGHLY enjoyed this novel, by Catherine Lea. The books are easily read as stand alones. If you enjoy a police drama, you should give this a go. Set in Northland, I found it a real page turner! - Karen

DI Nyree Bradshaw has worked hard and made a lot of sacrifices to get to the top of her game. When a young Maori woman is found bludgeoned to death at the foot of a waterfall and the insulin-dependent little girl who was in her care at the time has gone missing. Nyree puts her top officers on the case, but they have to tread carefully as there are a lot of people who don't want to cooperate with the authorities.
