Cancel all plans, the heavy hitting opening to this book draws you right in, and you'll be invested with the characters from the get go.  The setting of place and time, speaks to the Tampa, Manus Island and Australian policies around refugees and deportees.  Such a good book - it was a 2 day read for me.  Equally, it can be read as a love interest + a crime + an isolated island = a great read.  Sara
