Eye of the Dragon - Susan Brocker

Apart from his good friend Huhana (who told him stories about taniwha) and his faithful dog Lucy, Thomas was determined to keep the dragon he named Puff a secret.  He couldnt bear to think what Eddie's gang of bullies might do to her.  Puff gives Thomas the strength to stand up to his adversaries.  But can she help in the fight against a mega bully, whose development plans threaten the whole towns's environment?

Puff has been injured and Thomas helps her heal. Or is it the other way around?
